The plot of this film is based on the real-life experiences of journalist Geralyn Lucas. Her life was
going wonderfully—she had a loving husband and her dream job—until
, at the age of 27, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite her fear and doubt, she found the strength to accept her illness. Her courage, sense of humor
, and red lipstick helped her through it...
This is an incredibly positive and funny film that I can wholeheartedly recommend to everyone,
especially those at a turning point in their lives. It depicts the battle against cancer
, as well as the feelings of the patient and her family and friends. From the very beginning,
we feel sympathy for the main character, who, despite her difficult situation, finds the strength within herself to fight.
Furthermore, the film highlights the importance of women performing monthly breast self-exams. This
habit allowed the main character to detect a change in time, and perhaps that
is exactly what saved her life.
