The main characters are four teenage boys, united by osteosarcoma—a malignant bone tumor. Usually, films about cancer are depressing, but here we find a truly large dose of optimism. Although the characters have already undergone several surgeries, cycles of chemotherapy, and even limb amputations, they haven’t lost their youthful enthusiasm and will to live. They often repeat their motto:   "We are not cripples, but karatekas." I highly recommend it; it’s worth the effort to get your hands on this film, as it’s not easily available.
