The story of Kevin—a man with dissociative identity disorder who kidnaps three teenage girls. The kidnapper reveals his 23 personalities to them (including a woman with OCD, a 9-year-old boy, and a man with diabetes), which foreshadow the arrival of the 24th—the Beast, an exceptionally powerful creature with superhuman abilities. One of the girls comes up with the idea of befriending the boy’s personality and persuading it to help free them.
At the same time, Kevin is being treated by a psychiatrist who is trying to uncover the cause of his illness. Thanks to this plotline, the film offers a very good portrayal of split personality.
Is the beast’s personality real? Is the human body limited only by the mind? Are the main character’s words—“We are what we believe we are”—true? And finally—will the girls manage to escape their captor? Be sure to watch this suspenseful film for yourselves.
