Description: A wonderful film that I recommend to everyone! After a turbulent adolescence and a falling-out, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Swayer (J.K. Simmons and Cara Seymour) leaves home. Gabriela’s (Lou Taylor Pucci) parents don’t see him again until twenty years later. The reunion takes place in a hospital, where the now fully grown man—and not long ago their young son—lies motionless in a hospital bed. A massive brain tumor has led to a state in which Gabriel’s cognitive functions—and above all, his memory—are severely impaired. At this point, the journey back home, to his family, and to health begins. The man has always been deeply connected to music, which may now prove particularly necessary for him.
