While looking for a new way to make ends meet, he meets a beautiful woman named Bay (Maggie Grace). They spend wonderful hours and days together. Bay is planning a trip to India and encourages Travis to go with her. In need of money, Travis decides to participate in an experiment that pays $1,000 for the first day—the entire experiment is scheduled to last two weeks. After the participants are selected, they are transported to a building designed to resemble a prison—they are divided into two groups: prisoners and guards. During the experiment, modeled after the prison experiment conducted by American psychologist Philip Zimbardo, we see what behaviors such a situation triggers in the participants. It is worth mentioning that Zimbardo conducted this experiment in 1971—however, it was halted after 5 days due to the danger posed by the behaviors triggered in the participants.
