The series follows the lives of the doctors on the "Alpha Team" at one of the top trauma hospitals in the United States. This group of surgeons handles only the most critical cases, where the "golden hour" dictates the pace of their work. The doctors are called "rock stars of medicine"—here are the new stars: Dr. William Rayner—the chief, who flees the hospital after saving a patient; Dr. Matthew Proctor, who arrived with a patient and began suturing his hand; as it later turns out, he is set to join the team soon; Dr. Eva Zambrano—the youngest woman among the doctors, Dr. Rayner’s right-hand woman, whom he was grooming to take over as head of the trauma unit; Dr. Christopher “C” Deleo—a womanizer, risk-taker, and cowboy; Dr. Serena Warren—an intern, a newbie. There’s also nurse Tuck Brody, who keeps an eye on the chaos. The premiere episode is average—it doesn’t blow you away—but I’m not writing the show off just yet; maybe the next episodes will have something that sets “Miami Medical” apart from other medical dramas.
