Broadcast in the early 1970s on TVP Polonia with Polish subtitles, the series depicts the work of a young doctor in the Polish countryside. The beautiful title character, Dr. Ewa, raised in the city, chooses Międzybórz—a village in the Łódź Province—despite having the opportunity to stay there. The series was a response to the high interest in such productions, following the success of "Stawka większa niż życie" and "Czterech pancernych i psa." Opinions on the production were divided—medical circles expressed doubts about its accuracy, and there were also concerns regarding its portrayal of the realities of Polish villages. The series aired on TVP Polonia with English subtitles. A clip from one of the episodes - youtube.com.
