Description: Mindy Lahiri, a young gynecologist, works at a private clinic. She is a huge fan of romantic comedies in which the female lead always falls in love with the right guy—and he with her—and then lives happily ever after with him. And although Mindy herself can’t find her Prince Charming, she doesn’t give up. She tries to work on herself to get her life back on track and one day become the perfect woman by the side of the perfect man. The backdrop for her story is the lives of other characters: two doctors from the clinic—Jeremy and Danny; secretaries Betsy and Shauna; and Mindy’s friend Gwen.
Medical issues in the series are merely a subplot. The main character brings to mind a darker-skinned Bridget Jones dressed in a doctor’s coat. A film for those who enjoy lighthearted romantic comedies.
