Abstract
Introduction
Case Report
A 76-year-old woman who had undergone renal transplantation was admitted to hospital due to elevated creatinine level, thrombocytopenia and skin lesions. Previously diagnosed as allergic reaction the patient had been treated with steroid- and zinc-containing ointments without a success for over 10 months. Conducted in hospital blood tests revealed anemia, thrombocytopenia, elevated level of creatinine , and eosinophilia. Dermatological consultation revealed massive Scabies infestation. The patient was put on permethrin ointment and fexofenadine hydrochloride. The treatment resulted with complete regression of skin lesions.
