Susan Wheeler, a beautiful young medical student, notices a disturbing pattern. She tries to explain the curse hanging over operating room number eight, stumbles upon a trail leading to a grim scandal, and uncovers a secret organization operating within the hospital.
Undeniable pros
:- fast-paced, tight action that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the next chapter - don’t read Robin Cook if you don’t have much time ;p
- descriptions of medical procedures, medical jargon - you can tell the author is a real doctor -
a great, unexpected ending -
the subject matter isn’t pure fiction; it raises awareness of certain issues
This is the author’s first book (written while he was still in medical school), which practically creates a new genre in literature, so you have to forgive him for certain minor flaws that don’t detract from the overall experience :)
