Description: You’ve never seen Gosling like this before! (I’m addressing this mainly to the ladies, since they make up the vast majority of this American actor’s fans.)
For the film "Lars and the Real Girl," Ryan Gosling transforms into an unattractive guy with a mustache and a sweater. The character he portrays is a shy man in his thirties with a personality disorder. He lives in a garage next to his brother and sister-in-law’s house, but his secretiveness and difficulty communicating prevent him from maintaining close relationships even with them.
However, his hidden need for closeness and connection leads Lars Lindstrom to meet a woman one day and introduce her to his immediate family, and then to the other residents of the small town. And there would be nothing strange about this, were it not for the fact that his girlfriend, Bianka, is... a rubber doll.
While the whole town goes crazy over the protagonist’s exotic partner, he himself, with the help of a local doctor and psychologist, tries to cope with his problems.
A wonderful film—it has a Scandinavian vibe, tragedy blends perfectly with comedy, and the plot is engaging and thought-provoking.
