An editor at the French edition of "Elle" is left paralyzed after a stroke—he can only move his left eyelid and make grunting sounds. He is admitted to a specialized facility where he is cared for by a speech therapist and a physical therapist. Trapped in his own body, the 43-year-old decides to write a book. He is assisted by a secretary sent from the publishing house, who recites a specially devised alphabet. Letter by letter, a book takes shape, comparing the author’s immobility to that of a diver walking on the seabed in a deep-sea suit. A shocking and depressing film, yet full of the main character’s cynical humor.

    Film oglądałem jakiś czas temu, niestety całkowicie nie dla mnie. Wiem, że pewnie wielu mnie znienawidzi, ale jak dla mnie ten film był po prostu nudny i zbyt przygnębiający, być może takie było założenie, niestety to nie jest film dla przeciętnego widza.
