Patients with chronic renal failure, after kidney transplantation, have an increased risk of developing of tuberculosis. The clinical and radiological picture of tuberculosis in immunosuppressed patients is uncharacteristic, often suggestive of another disease process. The increased risk of generalization of the disease and the significant proportion of deaths in this group of patients prompts a thorough diagnosis of mycobacterium tuberculosis infection.

The decision on the choice of surgery is based on an analysis of studies determining, among other things, the local condition.

A 2-month-old male infant was admitted to the Department of Pediatric Surgery with a suspected right-sided diaphragmatic hernia. After imaging studies were performed, it was decided to perform thoracoscopy. Intraoperatively, hypoplastic right lung tissue with a residual pleural cavity was found. The analysis of the present case and the diagnostic and therapeutic process carried out is an example that the imaging studies performed do not always allow us to make a correct preoperative diagnosis. Despite performing the examinations recommended in similar cases, making the correct diagnosis turned out to be possible only intraoperatively.

Acute ischemia is a sudden drop in blood perfusion in a limb causing a potential threat to the viability of the limb. The 30-day amputation rate due to acute ischemia is 10% to 30%, with a mortality rate of 15-20%. For several years, in addition to surgical methods, we have had the option of endovascular treatment of of acute ischemia. The methods used: targeted pharmacological thrombolysis, percutaneous aspiration thrombectomy, percutaneous mechanical thrombectomy and various combinations of these procedures.
